Meet Naindeep Singh
Naindeep Singh is a community leader who resides in Fresno, California, and has spent decades advocating for equity, civic engagement, and opportunity across the Central Valley. Growing up as a Punjabi Sikh, he experienced the lack of spaces for young people to openly discuss identity, belonging, and the challenges facing their communities. Those early experiences shaped his commitment to leadership, service, and social justice. Today, Naindeep also serves on the Central Unified School District Board of Trustees, where he works to support students, families, and educators and strengthen public education in the region.

In 2000, Naindeep became a founding member of Jakara Movement, a youth leadership development organization focused on the Punjabi Sikh community and rooted in the Central Valley. Since 2009, he has served as Executive Director, helping grow its impact across 15 California counties while advancing initiatives that expanded language access to voting materials, improved public health outreach in underserved communities, and strengthened protections for renters and agricultural workers. Educated at UCLA and Johns Hopkins University, Naindeep remains deeply committed to empowering communities and developing the next generation of leaders.
